Mulholland Drive was originally conceived as a series for ABC, and would have been connected to the Twin Peaks universe through a very popular character. We're going to take a look around the side streets and back alleys behind this really interesting concept that eventually spawned into what many consider Lynch’s greatest film ever made.
Filmmaker David Lynch has had a hell of a journey, trying his hardest to get another television series off of the ground. We've seen On the Air, Hotel Room, and now we are exploring the pilot to Mulholland Drive. An idea that had begun as a yarn spun between himself and producer friend Tony Krantz as far back as ‘95 or ‘94 even. It had transformed into a Twin Peaks spin off of sorts that would have Audrey Horne coming to Hollywood. Yes, that Audrey Horne. The rich socialite with a knack for getting herself into places she doesn’t belong. Sounds like she'd be right at home.
